Tonight I will get overdressed and drink Champagne with my co-workers while they fall all over themselves because I'm wearing a skirt and make-up (boys are silly). It'll be fun and it's always a bit of an ego boost. I just hope they have more than cheese and cold cuts for appetizers, the Christmas party provided me with guacamole and grapes, everything else had meat or cheese in it. I love to cook, I really do. It's the clean up I'm not so good at, that and by the time I'm done cooking I don't want to eat anymore. This is a problem. I don't want to live on bocca burgers and couscous (don't worry, I'm not). I just find that I get geared up to cook so I go buy the ingredients, I get home and get ready to cook and all interest is lost. I've been doing a great deal of it lately. Reading. I forgot just how much I loved it. In the last two weeks I've read American Gods (read this!) Fight Club (long overdue, wish I had read it before Choke, that one is much better), Anansi Boys (I laughed, out loud, probably irritating my roommate), Reread Lullaby, and I've started reading Good Omens and Neverwhere.
