- Just another passionate environmentalist-humanitarianess-vegan out to save the world!!
In January, I'm going back to school, in Prescott, AZ. I plan to study ethnobotany-- cultures and the way they use plants as food, medicine, textiles, etc-- as well as general environmental studies. My orientation is a 21 day backpacking trip! Not your conventional college....if any of you out there are looking for "alternative" schools hit me up I'll tell you all about this amazing place!
My dream is to one day have an organic farm / animal sanctuary, run on renewable energy sources, and run a small cafe/juice bar serving all local and organic foods.
For fun, well:
--I love the outdoors-- biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, running, disc golf, kayaking...
--playing/walking/splashing around with my pups
--I love to prepare foods (especially those of the raw-vegan-organic variety!) and host potlucks and dinners
--I love to get creative with anything i can get my hands on-- mosaics, making (recycled) clothing, painting, and making art out of trash/useless/boken/discarded items
--I love getting my hands dirty in the garden!!
--I can spend hours just walking around collecting rocks, shells, leaves, anything!
--And I really enjoy a good book with a nice cup of tea
--Good conversation
--Thinking about new ways I can reduce my carbon footprint!
A few of the "goals" I have for myself:
--to study kundalini yoga
--to train for a half marathon
--to complete a 60 day juice feast sometime in the next year
--to take more time for meditation each day
--to be constantly and consciously aware of the love that surrounds me, and to recieve that love and put it back out there for someone else to recieve
