- About Me:
- I had always thought about becoming a vegetarian but never did. Either I was too young and my parents wouldn't let me, or on my own and didn't have the support of my friends. Ten years ago I made it official on the day I became a disciple of my beloved Gurudev, Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda. He says "Love all creatures at least as much as you love yourself". Even today I'm the only vegetarian I know outside of my Ashram, but I have the support of my husband and two boys. My oldest son is nine years old and even though he is not a vegetarian he appreciates the fact that I give him something my parents didn't give me - freedom to choose.
