Hi marea,

We're really getting ready to do some great stuff here at VegHaven!

I made a video at the Farm Sanctuary this past Friday. We'll have all the animals VegHaven has adopted on it!

I'll be posting that one this week but I thought you'd like this one we made of us on our way there LOL

a vegan straight edge means you don't eat or use anything that comes from an animal, right? That might be a silly question but I didn't want to ask in a forum and look like a douche in front of EVERYone. Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
I am vegan straight edge. I am not an asshole, just very adamant about my beliefs and living by them. :) I made a conscious decision in my teens that eating animals was wrong. It wasn't til I was in college out of state that I learned of veganism. I don't know why my earlier epiphany stopped short, but I am glad I met those who led me in the right direction... I try to live my life with integrity towards all animals and the environment.
About Me:
I am an owner and piercer at Aesthetics Body Modification. I also own and run Aesthetics Body Jewelry. My partner/fiance, Alan (also XVX) and I make custom hardwood jewelry, run the shop and are professional body piercers. We have four cats and ferrets whom we have rescued. A large house that we never have enough time to clean. But somehow find the time to cook as often as possible. We are renovating our house to accommodate a vegan bed and breakfast in the future... that is my life in a nut shell...

I haven't been on here in a few months. Life has become hectic, but in a good way. We moved our studio to a much better location. We are planning the wedding (in our backyard in September). We lost a couple of animal companions and took in a couple other who needed a home... movie: Year Of The Dog

Check it out! It is a cute movie about a woman and her dog. And about her becoming vegan and an animal activist. :) Plus, it has a news photo from me and some friends doing a protest (Covance). They changed the company name and it is only for a second... so it is like playing Where's Marea. hehe
