- I moved to Kansas City in Spring 2007 with my boyfriend of almost 5 years. We're renting a house in Hyde Park with plans to buy our first home soon!
We have a demonic cat appropriately named Vathek. He has a bright blue eye and a bright gold eye with extremely dangerous claws. We adopted him from a cageless shelter the day after Thanksgiving in Chicago 2 years ago.
Our other cat we rescued from a kill-shelter in Seattle in 2005. For the longest time we thought he was autistic by the way he acted and the amount of drugs he had at the horrible shelter. We later found out he's a Ragdoll and bred to act that way although I'm still convinced he's autistic.
I started a blog to review local veg*n friendly restaurants in KC. You can find the link below. Check it out if you're in the area and leave your feedback!
My boyfriend runs a publishing company, Valancourt Books, specializing in reprints of rare gothic novels from the late 18th century up to the early 1900's. You can check him out at Valancourt Books. This is pretty much what he is always doing. The cats and I sometimes lay on top of his papers for attention but it only lasts for a few minutes.
I'm still trying to get to know people in KC so if you're in the area hit me up!

Halloween...
A few more days till Halloween. I can't decide what type of hat to make my cats wear. One is demonic and the other is autistic. Last year Valancourt had a little Dracula cape. I think Vathek was his normal possessed self. I was hoping for some type of kitty- Creature from the Black Lagoon to go with my mask so we would match but I haven't had any luck.

Well, this is my first blog post here. It's almost Halloween so I will probably watch a few episodes of Count Duckula this weekend. I guess posting about a vampire vegetarian duck goes along with the theme? I'm still on season 1 but it's the last disc. I do hope season 2 is out. I haven't checked yet!
