a Vegetarian, I guess .. and sth else, lol, are you not?
About Me:
Music, Ideas, Information, Illusions ...
Frankly, guys, I'm not very much of an activist, I got a very short attention span and cannot keep on repeating obvious things all the time which doesn't of course mean I'm unprincipled. I do very much appreciate people who are eager to shape their future as well as the world's. Future (and Time in general) is my fancy. On the other hand there are limits for a positive change and I try to never forget about myself, wherever, whenever, whatever, because I'm pretty bored with disappointments. Actually one of the reasons to go vegetarian was my reluctance to cook as well as do any other kind of maddening domestic functions, I'd rather have a nap instead, I hoped to get rid of embarrassing eating habit altogether but I haven't managed yet. Funny? Very! Hahaha is my favourite past time, I'm always delighted to hear sth bright and hillarious, feel free to make me laugh. Ok, this and some new (for me), incredible sounds streaming through the internet.
And now for the dessert. Music. I am an addict, find myself holding mainly to electronic punchy stuff, I'm very much into the 80s (almost eth, New Wave, Electro Funk, Synth Pop, Italo Disco, Hard'n'Heavy, Pop, etc.) and the 00s have lots of beauty to offer too (say, Iris, the Birthday Massacre, lots of releases by Metropolis and Infacted, etc.) though I don't get enough of it, any suggestions are highly appreciated!
Well, so bad, I've forgotten about the 70s Funk&Disco, 90s Trance&Techno and Alternative, all time perfection of Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky and ... OK, I see, I'm behind the schedule, sorry, check MySpace if interested.
I'm always glad to make friends and tend to see myself as a relatively open-minded person, but please do not add me just for statistics, that's quite humiliating, thank you!
It's OK to fall asleep when economists and historians try to predict the future. :-) For me it is entertainment, and if I'm lucky I can pick up some little thing I never considered.
Btw. I remember a book entitled "The Future Eaters". Good description of humans. I haven't read it but it is supposed to be good.
Exactly. The interdependence - to put a nice word on it - seems to perpetuate the madness.
I invest pretty broadly. Some sustainable, some not. But I draw the line at military and animal exploitation companies. Perhaps my worst money "invested" goes to taxes. That goes to things I would normally never invest in. I also invest broadly in China (among other countries), and in Sept. they sold 1 million new cars, not to mention their rapidly growing meat consumption. (But really my few invested $'s have no effect on anything. The consumption $'s spent - or not - have more impact). Room for improvement, lots of "externalities" in my investments...
Right, wealth is very relative and very subjective - and not a particularly worthy objective. It only seems objective because we try to measure it with currency values.
Maybe the first step to minimizing the madness is to define it. Maybe, as a start: all behaviors that are not sustainable, not healthy in the long run... Will the discussion begin ? I don't see it... I guess we'll just let the markets, with all their "externalities", continue to decide, until the environment decides - enough ! :-)
+++ A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.S. FOR LIVING!!! I've been looking for this list for 17+ years now!!! AND HERE IT IS, FOR YOU TO ENJOY +++
AFTER ALL THIS TIME - I can't believe it - I did it, here it is, everything I ever needed to know in life, i learned 'rig...

Maybe this will cheer up ? :-) Not Really. But it is thought-provoking (especially Ferguson):

Well, yes .. all those currently efficient technologies are hardly sustainable ..
The same, or worse, everywhere in the world... At least it has been videoed and something was done in this case (plant closed).
