- Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
- I'm a bit schizophrenic when it comes to food...so let me explain it this way...
ETHICALLY I feel I should at least be vegan.
I am ASPIRING to be 80-100% RAW VEGAN.
In reality, I vasillated between vegetarian/vegan/raw vegan for about 24 years but then over the last two years I have fallen off the wagon to some extent, for a variety of reasons. Now I am actively working on reverting back to my vegetarian/vegan/raw vegan ways...
I hope that made some kinda sense!!! :D
Suffice it to say, I am a work in progress.

I love cooking and food preparation and I'm GOOD at it, so I eat WELL regardless of what kind of diet/lifestyle I choose to follow.
I just attended the most awesome event this year...Raw Spirit Fest!!!!
I love martial arts...I have a black belt in Shorin Ryu karate. I haven't really trained much in the last several years and I miss it horribly! I've got to get back into it.
I'm married and although I have no children of my own, I have had the good fortune to be intimately involved in the raising of two amazing people. Miles is 21 and will be graduating from the Air Force Academy in May 2008. His sister, MIchiko, is 17 and after graduating high school at 15, has just completed a 9 month training course to be a pharmacy technician. My husband has a daughter, Venessa and she is mother to our granddaughter Sharra who is already 12...yikes!
I love to read, learn, grow!
I love music! I almost always have music playing...at least in my head...lol!

Half Marathon Training!
I am happy to report that today I walked my talk! Yesterday I announced that my plan for today was to have a smoothie for breakfast and take a long walk. I accomplished both! This is Day 1 of my training plan for the Surf City Half Marathon which will take place on February 3, 2008. This gives me 10 weeks to prepare myself...which is no small feat considering how out of shape I am now. Today I walked at a moderate pace (approx 3 mph) for 30 mins so I covered approximately 1.5 miles. And then
