Sorry it's taken me a few days to respond,
I've been very busy!
Life has been good for me these last few weeks.
I just haven't been able to log on because I've been dealing with the real world. When I have some spare time I have not been up to logging on as much as I used to, I'd rather read a book and relax.
How've you been?
Have you ever made it to the Echo Park Pot Luck?
Is that still going on?
I may check it out this Thursday!
Good to hear from you! I hope your holidays were awesome and your New Years too! I haven't had a chance to go to Animal Acres yet, although I tried to go a few weeks ago when I was out in LA. I've been trying to save gas by combining trips, so when I will be in LA again, I plan to check out Animal Acres as well!
it's actually something that just happened i just tried slipping him some tofu- both my kids were already lactose intolerant, so we had them on soy formula before we left the hospital, so they both already had a taste for soy... so tofu was good to them. i started them on vegan cheese (it it definitely an acquired taste) and it just flowed from there. my husband will try to get Aria to eat some meat when he cooks it, but she'll immediately spit it out then cry, so i think it's just their preference now too. the tofu and tempeh were always a hit, so he stopped making a fuss when i brought up that they're getting enough protein and calcium (besides, my eldest takes vitamins- the baby is still too young). it'll just fall into place for you- it did with us. it's funny because he even started making mac & cheese with soymilk... how odd.. lol. hope all works out for you. :)
Hey! nice to meet you too! my kids (4yr old and a19month old) love scooby-- i had (notice the past tense) scooby collectors lunch box, stuffed animals, & slippers.... all now are played with by my kids... not exactly in great condition anymore, but they love it so i couldn't say no. we're even avid scooby watchers (cartoon network in the am).
i saw you're trying to go vegan. i have a tip (i've decided that's m,y new years resolution) the key is transition. i did it before and it worked well (why i'm doing it again is another story for another day) over the course of several weeks cut out 1 thing and replace it with a vegan item. ex: milk to soy... by going 1 thing at a time it makes it easier and doesn't seem like you're cutting everything out at once. let me know how it works out!!
peace
I believe everyone counts, 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 and so on. Each one of us makes a difference. I look forward to making a difference with each and every person I cross paths with in life.
