Comment by Ari Moore on April 10, 2009 at 8:35am - I too have issues with Farm Sanctuary and their attitude toward "humane meat." However, when I've spoken with folks from the sanctuary, I've really felt that their hearts are in the right place. They're trying as hard as they can to make life better for farmed animals. We vegans might all be using slightly different strategies - we might even disagree about strategies - but we all have a lot of common ground. Farm Sanctuary seems very open to coalition-building with abolitionists... and I'm a big believer in the power of broad-based coalitions, so I support them.

Hello,
I'm new to this community. Anything exciting happening? I had invited someone to join veghaven but she was concerned because of Farm Sanctuary's less than stellar stance on "humane" meat. Any thoughts?
