mine is a meat eater. when i met him, he had know idea what a vegan was. i didn't get all "meet your meat" preachy on him, i just explained that i don't eat or buy anything that animals had to suffer for. i was friendly and open, so he felt comfortable asking questions whenever they came up- like why poptarts and gummi bears aren't vegan, or why i don't buy wool. he said it was stupid and he'd never give up meat, but he liked that i did my own thing and wasn't going to try to change my mind. when he said that, i made up my mind to never try to change his, either. you can't just expect people to change like that.
every single person he's introduced me to, he's mentioned that i'm vegan. and he gives a pretty accurate definition. i think that's pretty cool, considering i hardly ever talk about veganism to anybody. nice to know he really listens to me.
he has a big list in his head of my favorite vegan things. and he reads ingredients before trying something new to see if i can have some too. he didn't mind at all when i suggested we stop buying butter because Earth Balance works just as well. i feel pretty lucky to live with someone so open-minded. he never teases me or makes me feel awkward about what i'm eating for dinner (except about how i drink water when we have perfectly good soda in the fridge).
one time he even tried a small bite of my awful grilled tofu, which is probably why he'll never give up meat. oops!

u have a prominent point, jus 2 make the choice 2 b vegan/vegi denotes a complete change. so 2 subject 1self 2 the constant barage, of livin with some1 who is not would certainly b askin the ultimate sacrifice. however jesus did sup with least among them. can we do no less. and it would cartainly give opportunity 2 stand firm. but it is a challenge not 4 all. keep also n mind, the victims and their on going faith n god. i am not religious, i am spiritual. u tell me the image, going n and out of ur nose, and i will show u the image and likeness of god, thats where i am camped at.,,ur,,servant,,chow,,oudy
Yes, my husband is vegan too. I wouldn't have married a meat eater. I just don't like being around meat and don't want it my house. I could never sit across the table watching my husband eating meat everyday. I couldn't stand smell of cooking flesh in my house. But I feel for other vegan women because we seem to have the men outnumbered.
Yeah my husband is vegan whilst Im vegetarian w/ no eggs (and I drink soymilk)....I have to be with someone who inspires me daily (in more senses than just dietary)....vegetarianism is something very spiritual for me as well.
I would stay single if I couldnt find a veggie man, or at least someone who was open to the change. I do feel for the other veg*n women....but we can pick our partners, unlike family....we are stuck with them! xoxo

My husband and I found out the horrible truth about factory farming together, and immediately made the same decision to go veg. (I went vegan, he's vegetarian.) We eat only vegan in the house though, he only eats cheese/milk when we go out to eat. I'm grateful that he sees this issue the same way I do, and that we can take this journey together and try to make a difference together. :)

yes it is a rather, buctherous truth, what man will do 2 man. but the fact u r makin the concsious choice 2 not ndulge, well u have ur reward. it is that simple. i c all the television programs about how 2 b a child of god. btu i do not notice any of them, denoting the consumption of the children of god. ooooh, but they will pray 4 ur salvation. it is written that prayer without good works is dead works. ur works r not dead. n fact thay give u life, and that more abundantly, but then, who would b aware of that more than u. oh by the way, n that act alone u alone have done more 4 the true kingdom of god, than all that hoopin and hollerin thay do.,,ur,,servant,,chow,,oudy
being vegan is doable though there are somethings that are difficult to avoid animal products in such as the stearic acid that still goes into tires and some plastics.
i think one of the commandments, "thou shalt not steal" applies well here. we just have to see things taken from animals as belonging to them and not to us, just as we should not see animals as our property. (unfortunately, the legal system really doesn't see it that way thus complicating things, for now.)

now thats what im sayin, let us get 2 the legal issues ntoned here. many of us jus zoom right pass that. if any 1 of the human components child was 2 even b robbed of a candy bar, let alone their life or garment/skin. there would b such an out cry. y simply 4 the reason, the child is protected by the law "R" laws, what about gods law. what the name of that song, "what fi god was 1 of us" teach a parrot 2 sing that send it 2 the united nations we may actually start 2 c the whole picture. u give good nspiration,,ur,,servant..chow..oudy
