i have been a vegetarian for years and just recently became vegan. i was wondering about honey, i know most vegans won't eat honey. could someone shed some light why honey is wrong from the moral point of view. as far as i can tell i't doesn't seem so bad but i could be wrong
I plan to become vegan one day but for right now I'm a vegetarian and with the exception of dairy products for now, I avoid all other products made from animals. In my eyes, bees make honey for their use, not ours. And not only that but I am a friend to them. They do not "freak me out" as they do other people. I love to see them close-up and find them fascinating as well as wasps. I know I'm wierd, huh? I just have an oversized heart, so to speak. I am against consuming or using any products that contain honey... as it is not necessary and there are plenty of cruelty free products without honey available. Here is a great website that explains why honey is not vegan. I hope you find it helpful.
